🌊 Dana Point Harbor Revitalization Update: What’s New This Spring? 🌸 (April 2025)

Hey neighbors! If you’ve been following along, you probably already know the basics of the Dana Point Harbor Revitalization Project. This update builds on what we shared two months ago, so let’s dive into the latest progress and exciting developments happening right now 🌊.


🚣‍♀️ Marina Progress 🚧

The marina continues to transform with major milestones:

Phase 6: Demolition is nearly complete, and new docks featuring 25’ and 30’ slips are arriving soon 🚧. Completion is expected by late August 2025, with slip selection starting in July 📅.

West Basin Wrap-Up: Phase 7.1 begins this month (April 2025), focusing on the east half of E-dock 🗺️. Once completed in July, the West Basin will be fully revitalized 🎉.

East Basin Next: Starting mid-2025, construction will shift to the East Basin, with upgrades to docks N, M, L, and K through late 2026 🚧.


🛍️ Commercial Core Updates 🐳

The heart of the harbor is buzzing with activity:

✦ Construction of a three-tiered parking structure began last year and is on track for completion by summer 2025 🚗. It includes EV charging stations and amenities for boaters like showers and changing rooms 🚿.

✦ Retail, restaurants, and attractions like whale watching and sportfishing remain open during construction 🐳. Phases 1 and 2 of the commercial core redevelopment are wrapping up this summer, with Phase 3 starting in March 2025 to focus on waterfront improvements 🌊.


🏨 Hotels Taking Shape 🌟

Two new hotels will replace the Dana Point Marina Inn:

✦ A four-star luxury hotel and a three-star affordable option 🌟.

✦ Both will feature dining areas, fitness centers, ballrooms, and meeting spaces 🍴. These additions will elevate Dana Point Harbor as a premier coastal destination 🌴.
